Dr. Damaries Candelario-Soto

Dr. Candelario-Soto believes in helping people to achieve their goals and gain success by giving them the opportunity to pursue a career in the dental field. The passion she has for helping an individual to develop strong communication skills and interpersonal patient care; will fit them for the next stage in a most rewarding career. Having been the owner of her own practice for 22 years, she will teach you the importance of being a viable member of a very successful dental team.
Dr. Candelario-Soto grew up in Carolina, Puerto Rico. She completed her Pre-Dentistry degree and Doctor of Medical Dentistry, DMD at the University of Puerto Rico. She received a Masters Degree in Public Health, MPH and Fellow in Nutrition and Oral Health from the University of Alabama, Birmingham. She was also an Officer in the U.S. Air Force where she earned her Certificate in Endodontics. She remains active duty military in the reserves serving as an Endodontic Consultant.

Michelle Barton, Co-Director, CDA, EFDA

Michelle began her training/career in 1994. She has extensive knowledge and experience with CEREC, Implant Restorative, and Cosmetic Dentistry. She was a successful dental program director and instructor for more than 7 years. Her passion for teaching and experience with cutting edge technology gives our students a strong foundation and knowledge of Dentistry. She will partner with our graduates and local dentists for career placement opportunities. There is true communication, passion, professionalism and skills when it comes to her teaching ethics.
Her favorite quote is: “Make a difference by being the difference”.

Cassidy Chambers, Administrative Assistant, Instructor

Cassidy was born and raised in Marietta, GA. She is a graduate from DASA. After attending college at GHC as a student athlete she proceeded to start her career early. Cassidy is a CDA working in a private practice that focuses on Overall Health in Atlanta, GA. Cassidy’s passion is working with children/infants in dentistry and teaching the new methods of growth and development. She has exceptional training in all the new and informed technology that her general office provides.
From the CO2 Laser, Medit, iTero, and CBCT she is well trained and enjoys bringing her knowledge to teach others.

Madison Spencer, Registration Assistant, Instructor

Madison has had a lifelong passion for teaching and after completing courses at Jacksonville State University she chose to attend DASA and is a proud alumnus. Madison strives to help students achieve high levels of academic and hands-on learning by mimicking the thorough and top tier instruction that she was given at DASA as a student herself. She has worked for Dr. Soto in her endodontic practice for over four years. During her time there, she has learned an extensive knowledge of endodontics, CBCT, and also front office procedures.
Madison is thankful she is able to combine her love of teaching and dental assisting into one career.
